They call Fort Lauderdale the 'Venice of America' and, naturally, many of the attractions are based in or around water. You might take a trip in a glass-bottomed boat, visit the Swimming Hall of Fame or take a stroll down the Riverwalk. In any case, water is never far away.
If you prefer dry land, spend some time at the city's museums and art galleries. The Museum of Discovery and Science includes an IMAX cinema. The Museum of Art (on the same street as our school centre) is regarded as one of the best in America.
Of course, the beach is a major attraction. You'll find events all the year round, including the International Boat Show and 4th of July celebrations.
Fort Lauderdale is located in the heart of the Florida Gold Coast. It's just one hour from the excitement of Miami and exclusive Palm Beach. Students will be in the middle of all there is to see and do in Florida.
Orlando, Disney World, the Florida Keys, Key West, the West Coast of Florida and the Gulf of Mexico are all accessible.
More locally, you'll find beautiful beaches nearby. The centre is convenient for cafes, restaurants, a performing arts centre, cinemas and nightclubs.
Shopping centres include the world-famous Sawgrass Mills Discount Mall.
